Privacy Policy
Effective TBD. Winch & Wrench Project, Inc. (“we”) is a Maryland nonprofit corporation at 14 Virginia Ave, Nottingham, MD 21236. This policy explains what we collect through our website, online forms and clinics, and how we use it.
What we collect
Through our online forms (Google Forms) we collect what you enter, such as your name, email, phone, ZIP code, volunteer skills and certifications, optional military affiliation, vehicle year/make/model, and how you heard about us. At clinics, our participant waiver collects your name, signature, contact details, emergency contact and vehicle details. Our website host may log basic technical data such as IP address and browser type.
Military affiliation is optional. We ask only to plan outreach and report on who we serve. It is never a condition of taking part.
How we use it
To schedule and run clinics, contact you about programs you signed up for, screen and coordinate volunteers, keep safety and incident records, send updates you asked for, and report program results in summary form.
What we never do
We do not sell or rent your information. We do not give participant names or contact details to sponsors, guest instructors, host venues or any business.
Who processes it for us
Google (Forms, Drive, Workspace) stores form responses under Google’s own privacy terms. Porkbun hosts our website.
Photos
We publish photos or video in which you can be identified only if you opt in on your waiver. You can withdraw that consent for future use at any time. We don’t publish name tags, unit insignia, license plates or other details that could identify a service member’s unit or home.
Children
Our website and forms are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information online. A parent or guardian signs for any participant under 18.
How long we keep it
Under our document retention policy. Waivers and incident records are kept as long as our insurer and counsel advise. You can unsubscribe from email at any time.
Your choices
Email info@wwproj.org to see, correct or delete your information. We’ll reply within 30 days. We may need to keep signed waivers and incident records.
Security
Access is limited to the volunteers who need it, on accounts owned by the Corporation.
Changes
We’ll post updates here with a new effective date.
